At our studio, we strive to provide efficient alterations to meet your needs. Typically, hems are completed within 7 business days. For garments with upcoming event dates, we prioritize their completion to ensure they are ready on time. As for all other alterations, they are placed on our list and usually have a turnaround ranging from 4 to 10 weeks, depending on our current workload. Rest assured, we are dedicated to delivering the highest quality results within reasonable timeframes.

We typically require 2 to 4 fittings to ensure the perfect fit and make any necessary alterations. The first fitting takes place 12 weeks before your wedding date to assess the dress’s fit and note any adjustments needed. You can expect one to three interim fittings, depending on the complexity of alterations required. The final pick-up is scheduled to take place once all alterations are complete, ensuring the dress is ready 1-2 weeks before your wedding event.

Yes, we do take body measurements for online orders. It’s a straightforward process – simply bring in the list of measurements required, or even show us the link on your phone, and we will take the specific measurements needed for the individual site you are ordering from. In case the list of measurements is not provided, just let us know, and we will gladly furnish you with a comprehensive list that covers any order site you use.

To schedule a measurement appointment, you can select ‘body measurement’ when you book your fitting. This way, we can ensure that your garment will be tailor-made to your exact specifications, providing you with the perfect fit and ensuring your complete satisfaction with your online order

We have disabled access and disabled parking. At our Newtown location the driveway is a bit rough, however we can come to your car. We unfortunately do not have disabled toilets. 

Some of our staff are neurodivergent themselves and two of us have children with autism. So autism, ADHD and anxiety are areas we are versed in. Please feel free to call ahead and let us know your needs. As an example we can provide a quieter atmosphere devoid of music and schedule a time that has less staff and traffic.

The golden command to love your neighbour as yourself extends to whomever is our neighbour. We make no distinction between sexual preferences, disabilities and heritage. All are welcome here. We have altered things from dress bodice extensions to binder alterations. Feel free to message us if you have specific alteration requests.

Another note is that we are able to cater to deaf clients. Rachel’s nephew is deaf in one ear and her son has Autism (or is autistic depending upon how you prefer to say it, for him he prefers the former) and has a basic grasp of Auslan through learning Auslan as the LOTE choice in homeschooling and from tutoring for her nephew.
