Travelling in for a Toowoomba wedding

This is the service for brides who aren't local. Your gown has travelled, it needs a professional finish, and you'd rather not spend your first day here wrestling a steamer in an unfamiliar house.

How It Works
Three steps, no wedding-morning panic

  • 1. Drop everything off

    Bring the gown and any bridal party garments to the studio at 2 Percy Street. We'll check each piece over with you and flag anything that needs more than a steam — a loose bead, a dropped hem, a mark you hadn't spotted.

  • 2. We steam and finish

    Every garment is steamed by hand, layer by layer, with the right heat and distance for its fabric. Layered tulle, silk, crepe and beading all behave differently, and none of them forgive a domestic steamer held too close.

  • 3. Collect, hanging and covered

    We'll text you when everything is ready. Each piece comes back on a proper hanger under a breathable cover, with instructions for keeping it that way until the morning.

Prices

A heavily layered ballgown is a genuine couple of hours of work. A single-layer bridesmaid dress is not. You pay for what's actually in front of us.

Priced by the garment

Your price is confirmed when we see the garments, and it doesn't change afterwards. If something needs a repair rather than a steam, we'll tell you before we touch it.

Worth knowing

Steam too early and you'll undo it

A steamed gown that then spends five days in a car boot, a wardrobe or the back of a hotel room will drop creases back in. Layered tulle is the worst offender.

So we'll aim to have your garments ready one to two days before the wedding, not the week before. Hang everything high, keep it covered, and don't fold it back into anything.

If you'd genuinely rather not think about any of it, we also come to you on the morning and steam on site — no transport, no window for creases to creep back.

Questions

Before you drop off

  • Most garments are done within two working days. A heavily layered gown may need longer, and we'll tell you at drop-off rather than guessing. Book ahead where you can — we take a limited number each week so nothing gets rushed.

  • Take it out as soon as you arrive and hang it somewhere high, even if you're bringing it straight to us. Every extra day folded is a crease setting harder. If it's been boxed for months, say so — some creases need more than one pass.

  • Yes. These are the fabrics that go wrong with a domestic steamer, so they're exactly what this service is for. Silk and heavy beading need distance, patience and the right approach, and we'll talk you through anything we're cautious about.

  • We'll photograph it and message you before doing anything. Small repairs can often be handled while the garment is with us; anything larger we'll quote separately so you can decide.

  • Yes — groom, groomsmen, father of the bride. Bring them in with everything else and we'll press them at the same time.

  • We can. Wedding dress cleaning and preservation is a separate service, hand-cleaned here in the studio and boxed archivally if you want it kept. See cleaning and preservation.
