Rachel's Custom Sewing is a busy studio built around one idea: every dress that comes through our doors gets the finish it deserves. We alter, rebuild, and reimagine wedding gowns, and we do the fiddly, satisfying, technical work that makes a dress fit like it was made for the person wearing it. It's real hands-on sewing, and the standard is high.

What it's like here
It's a small team and a hands-on studio, so no two days look quite the same. One morning is a fitting, the next is a full bodice rebuild, and somewhere in there is the quiet, focused sewing that we all secretly love most.
We're honest about the work. Some of it is slow and precise, some of it is under pressure with a wedding on Saturday, and all of it matters to the person on the other end. If that sounds like your kind of pressure, you'll fit right in.
What matters to us
- Doing it properly. We'd rather take the extra twenty minutes and get a clean, even finish than rush something out the door.
- Caring about the client. Every dress belongs to someone who has waited a long time for their day. We treat it that way.
- Always learning. There's always a better technique, a neater method, a trickier fabric. We stay curious.
- Looking after each other. Small team, high standards, good humour. We help each other out.
